1. Labor warranty
Repair labor is covered by a 90-day limited workmanship warranty from the date of service. Coverage is limited to defects directly caused by the original repair performed by TechBoy Media.
The labor warranty does not cover pre-existing or hidden defects, normal wear, manufacturer failures, software issues, updates, viruses, user-installed applications, later physical or liquid damage, or devices opened or serviced by another party after the repair.
2. Parts warranty
Parts are covered only under the applicable supplier or manufacturer warranty. Warranty length and eligibility vary. Within the first 90 days, replacement labor for an approved defective-part claim is covered. After 90 days, labor charges apply even when a supplier replaces the part.
3. Completed repairs and refunds
Completed and successful repairs are final and non-refundable. Refunds are not issued for dissatisfaction unrelated to workmanship, pre-existing issues, unrelated failures, or later damage. If an authorized repair cannot be completed, any adjustment or partial refund is determined from the work, parts, supplier restrictions, and costs already incurred.
4. Returns and special-order parts
Installed parts, opened electrical components, used items, and special-order parts are non-returnable unless required by law or approved through a supplier warranty. Approved unused-item returns may be limited to 14 days and may include restocking or shipping fees.
5. Device condition and repair risk
Devices may contain hidden damage or weak components. Opening, heating, separating adhesive, removing a cracked display, replacing a swollen battery, soldering, data recovery, and board-level work can expose or worsen existing problems. The customer accepts the inherent risk of authorized service on damaged or aging equipment.
6. Data and credentials
Customers should back up important information before service whenever possible. TechBoy Media is not responsible for data loss, corruption, account lockout, encryption issues, cloud-sync conflicts, or loss caused by failing storage. Passwords or credentials provided for testing are used only as reasonably necessary for the authorized work.
7. Water resistance
Water resistance is not guaranteed after a phone, tablet, watch, laptop, or other sealed device is opened, even when replacement adhesive or seals are installed.
8. Payment and abandoned equipment
Payment is due when service is complete unless written terms say otherwise. Equipment left after completion or after repeated contact attempts may be subject to storage fees and abandoned-property handling allowed by applicable law and the signed service authorization.
9. Final determination
Warranty eligibility is determined after inspection and testing. Nothing in this policy removes rights that cannot legally be waived.
